DIANA AI SONG CONTEST 2023<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The third edition of the DIANA AI Song Contest took place in Cologne from October 25 to 28, 2023.<\/p>\n

After a two-day songwriting camp in which the 12 selected DIANA participants created songs and music videos using AI tools, the winning team, consisting of songwriters\/producers\u00a0 Nola\u00a0<\/strong>(Cologne) and\u00a0Aufmischen\u00a0<\/strong>(Frankfurt), received the DIANA trophy from DIANA initiators Jovanka von Wilsdorf and Ralph Christoph (c\/o pop) at the DIANA Award Ceremony<\/strong> at the Christuskirche of Cologne.<\/p>\n

THE DIANA AWARD CEREMONY 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to the presentation of the created works and the introduction of the artist teams, the ceremony also featured a performance by the artist FLOSS (winner of the DIANA AI Song Contest 2020), who fired off a brilliant live set of her very own Feminist Fantasy Pop in the impressive church hall. Another highlight was the video shoutout by Sophia The Robot, the world’s most advanced human-like robot (Hanson Robotics). Together with the audience, the jury finally selected the most outstanding song and decided who would take home the coveted DIANA Award. The evening was hosted by DIANA initiator Jovanka v. Wilsdorf.<\/p>\n

ABOUT THE DIANA AI SONGWRITING CAMP 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jovanka v. Wilsdorf:\u00a0<\/strong>“It was fantastic to see how these great musicians blossomed in interaction with the AI tools at the songwriting camp. AI should always inspire, never dictate our creative output, and I believe DIANA provides a wonderful framework for precisely that “.<\/em><\/p>\n

THE SELECTION PROCESS<\/strong><\/p>\n

To actively promote the creative dialog between musicians and AI tools and launch unique songs beyond genre bubbles, an expert jury selected the 12 participating musicians for the third DIANA AI Song Contest from over 100 applications<\/strong> in advance. The evaluation criteria were musical skill and a creative signature. Previous knowledge of AI was not required.<\/p>\n
