THE VOICE IN THE MACHINE
Effects and side effects of artistic interactions with AI and AI-powered robots.

What happens to our creativity when AI is no longer just a tool but becomes an artistic counterpart? Where do pitfalls arise, and where do portals open to novel artistic approaches and interactions? Drawing on her many years of experience as a musician, initiator, and musical director of Sophia the Robot (Hanson Robotics), Jovanka v. Wilsdorf uses video examples to provide insights into the processes, obstacles, and outcomes of diverse international human/AI collaborations.

CINEMA 1 PANEL – September 11 – 4:45 p.m

COPYRIGHT AND RELATED RIGHTS IN THE DIGITAL AGE
How is AI changing the way we work with audio?

AI generates text, images, and music—how does this change our creative process, who “owns” the results of music generated with or by AI—and where do the boundaries lie? I’m already very much looking forward to discussing with Dr.Kerstin Bäcker (lawyer for Copyright and media rights), Matthias Hornschuh (spokesperson, Initiative copyright), and Anja Kathmann (GEMA, head of Berlin office) what it takes to maintain resilient creative ecosystems.
