FEMALE* PRODUCER PRIZE 2023

Congratulations to the winners* of the Female* Producer Prize 2023:
@Aufmischen, @Evîn, @Kota No Uta, @Sheyda Minia, @Just Honest, @Mona Yim, @Mimski,

In the second edition of the Female* Producer Prize, for the first time, seven instead of five female* music producers*, nationwide and of all genres had the chance to win the prize. Outstanding female* music producers thus benefit from sustained support and the spotlight they deserve. The total number of applications rose to 156 female* producers in 2023.

The festive award ceremony took place on October 14 at SOHO House Berlin after an intensive workshop day for the winners at Sony Circle Studios.
The workshops were led by LIA (Production), Annette Humpe (Production and Songwriting), David Hofmann (Mix & Mastering), Katharina Horn (How-to Business)

The winners* 2023 also received a prize package consisting of production grants, vouchers for music equipment, high-quality training offers from Ableton, a year’s membership of Music Women* Germany, and inclusion in the Producer roster at Sony Music and Neubau Management,

Many thanks to the prize sponsors Sony Music Germany, Thomann, Ableton, Neubau Management, Sony Publishing, SOHO House Berlin and Music Women*Germany.
The Female*ProducerPrize 2023 was kindly supported by the Reeperbahn Festival on behalf of the BKM (Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media)

Jovanka v. Wilsdorf, initiator, Female* Producer Prize: “The great response and the enormously high level of the 156 applications this year have shown how overdue the Female* Producer Prize was, but above all, how many highly competent and visionary female music producers are out there. Visibility develops a radiance that creates measurable success. There is still a lot to do – but the math works out!”

Once again, this year, not all producers* who would have deserved it were able to win. To receive the shortlist of the 20 most outstanding female* music producers, please contact Nina Graf, producerprice@musicwomen.de

Last but not least we would like to thank our expert jury who had to make the difficult selection: Charlie McClean (Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter), Sarah Schneider (Head of A&R, Sony Columbia), Jovanka v. Wilsdorf (initiator DIANA AI Song Contest and Female*Producer Prize) Moses Schneider (music producer, music studio operator, author) Pamela Owusu-Brenyah ( Music Consultant, Afropop A&R, Curator) NOVAA (winner of the Female* Producer Prize 2022 and the Prize for Pop Culture 2022, artist)
